The 2011 java 170 sport has just arrived with many improvements over the 2010 java 170:

* New improved tyres and tyre pattern for better handling especially in the wet
* Twin-piston front brake caliper with larger pads for improved braking (especially 2 up)
* Wavy front disc for increased disc cooling to reduce fade under heavy braking
* Stylish 5 spoke rims with improved strength for our tough road conditions
* An aluminium exhaust system which is light and will not corrode - this is a major plus over other scooters with their old steel exhaust systems.
* The latest generation GY6 engine which produces 15% more power than the older java, but with the same tiny fuel use!

The java sport has the same features as the java 150cc but has the bigger 170cc engine providing up to 20% more power. The 170 sport engine also includes an advanced oil cooler which will keep the performance engine cool during long runs. The extra power will help when lifting a passenger or to give you the extra acceleration to outrun traffic. The large 13” wheels have extra wide tyres for excellent handling. The java sport is for those who want more than just a scooting experience, they want the power and presence to go with it. There is storage space under the seat and there is a handy lockable glove compartment in the front of the bike. The java also has a strong rear carrier for parcels and a top-box can be fitted to this carrier.
