You cannot compare the espresso to any other 110cc bike out there unless the bike you are looking at has a front disk brake like the espresso. The front disk brake is essential for safe stopping. If you read the reviews about 110cc bikes with drum brakes, all the experts say the bikes are difficult to stop. The espresso disk brake will give you plenty of stopping power even with two people aboard.

The espresso is a simple 110cc semi-automatic 4-speed scooter. Once you press the start button and the espresso is running, simply push it into gear with your left foot and twist the throttle – no clutch! When you reach the indicated speed in 1st gear simply de-throttle and press the gear down into second gear, twist the throttle open and away you go. Just like a normal car, you change gear without straining the engine. Once in fourth gear you can travel at 80km/h up hills and down dales! There is a gear number indicator on the speedometer so you can see what gear you are in at any time.

The espresso motor may be 15cc smaller than 125cc scooters but as it is not automatic it accelerates and goes just as fast.

Some scooter riders prefer a ‘large wheel’ scooter and if this is you, then the espresso is the bike to have. Storage space is limited to a small carrier between the seat and the handlebars and a strong metal carrier at the back of the bike. You can also add a top box to the espresso should you need more space.

The espresso has a 3.5 liter fuel tank. The little engine is very fuel efficient and on a full tank you should get close to 200km before you have to fill up.

There is an optional carrier that can be fitted to the espresso for R189. You can also fit a top-box to this carrier should you need storage space for things like your helmet.
